Jack Killorin, the Atlanta director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, said the bombings at the abortion clinic and the nightclub would be investigated by the same multiagency task force. ''We will be searching out the possibility that we have a serial bomber.'' ''We all recognize that there are similarities here,'' said Woody Johnson, the special agent in charge of the F.B.I.'s Atlanta office. No arrests have been made in any of the bombings.Īt a news conference this morning, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and city officials did not discount the possibility that the bombings are related, although they said it was too early to determine whether the bombs had been made in the same way. The explosions at the nightclub and the abortion clinic also bore some resemblance to the July 27 bombing in Centennial Olympic Park in that all of the bombs apparently contained nails and other shrapnel.
